Two times a year, 45 women of all ages, from all walks of life and from all parts of the country gather together for 3 days of stitching, classes, eating and laughing. Camp Wannastitch is a 3-day stitching retreat we hold in both the spring and fall. A chartered coach picks us up at the store at 8:00 a.m. on Friday and travels 2 hours north to a camp set in the cool pines of northern Arizona. Accommodations are cabins with beds and mattresses, so each camper provides her own bedding, pillows and towels. This is a lot like Girl Scout camp. We even have smores on Saturday night! After arriving at camp, we have time to unpack in the cabins and set up our stitching area for the weekend.

We have a designated stitching room and a designated eating room so we never have to put our stitching away the whole weekend! Right after lunch on Friday we start our first project. We usually do 2 projects/classes. The projects are designed to teach a new technique or make use of the many new products that are found at market. We love to introduce stitchers to new fibers, fabrics, and techniques. Sometimes it is canvas work, sometimes fabric. We also fill the weekend with handy tips and tricks that make stitching and finishing easier. We try to vary the projects because there is always something new to try and learn. You also bring up your own stitching projects to work on during free time. Before we know it, it is Sunday afternoon and we are saying goodbye to the lovely cool weather and the tall pines and heading back down to the valley.

The cost of the weekend including transportation round trip from the store to camp, room and board, and all the stitching projects for the classes is $275.00. A group of amazing and fun ladies awaits. Be sure to bring kleenex because we've been known to giggle until tears come!

Mark your calendars!

A nonrefundable deposit of $100.00 is required when booking camp and balance is due 60 days prior to camp. After your final payment you will receive a list of supplies to bring to camp and the emergency phone.
